What would an ideal Kilkenny look like? And what stories would it tell?

Step into Dylan Moran’s Utopia, a free, interactive creative installation where imagination, memory meet a giant roll of newsprint to create a living portrait of a place and its people. Part artwork, part community project and part creative playground, this evolving installation invites visitors to contribute their own ideas, creations and discoveries to a collective vision of Kilkenny.

Participants are encouraged to draw, paint,, shape and expand the installation throughout the festival. Every contribution becomes part of a larger story: a playful, curious and ever-changing reflection of the town, its history and the people who call it home.

Conceived by the endlessly inventive Dylan Moran, this unique project was trialled to great acclaim at this year’s Festival of Ideas, where audiences embraced its open-ended creativity and collaborative spirit.

There are no rules, no artistic qualifications required and no right answers. Just a chance to make something together.
